We are excited to see all the amazing artwork from around the world!  Review important changes and updates below and don't forget to mail your artwork to your regional host site!  Contact and shipping information will be posted soon, please continue to check bgca.net often for updates. 

The portal will close on March 1, 2019.  All artwork should be mailed to regional host by March 15, 2019.

IMPORTANT CHANGES AND UPDATES: 

  • The Digital Arts Festival contest will no longer be included in the National Arts Contest Suite. 
  • All digital media for Club members has been placed under the MyFuture platform as part of BGCA's increased support and resources for digital media. Youth interested in learning more and developing digital media should visit the Myfuture website, specifically the Media Makers activities!

The National Fine Arts Exhibit provides youth the opportunity to express themselves creatively, build confidence, learn new skills in the visual arts, and showcase their artwork in the community    

Submission Rules & Guideline:

  • Only ONE entry per AGE GROUP per CATEGORY is allowed
  • All artwork MUST be mailed to your Regional Host Site to be received by March 15th.  Follow guidelines listed below.
  • Drawings, pastels, collages and mixed media created using pencil, pastel, or chalk must be sprayed with a fixative or covered  with a transparent wrapping to prevent smudging
  • Artwork in all categories, except for oil and acrylic, should be matted
  • Oil and acrylic work must be painted on stretched canvas, canvas board, prepared paper, wood, etc., and must be submitted to the regional judges unframed.
  • Identification labels affixed to the back of photographs are required. These labels can be found in the Appendix of the contest guide on bgca.net

 

 

ImageMakers National Photography Contest is designed to help members go beyond snapshots and develop skills to take impactful photographs. The current popularity and accessibility of photography makes it a powerful activity to engage youth of all ages, simultaneously teaching skills they will use for the rest of their lives.

  • ImageMakers National Photography Contest entries should be 8x10 inches. This does not include the size of the mat.
  • Photographs must be matted according to instructions.
  • Identification labels affixed to the back of photographs are required. These labels can be found in the Appendix of the contest guide on bgca.net
